About Me

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. My research interests are in the fields of optimization and machine learning. I would like to make Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) fly and self-judge with little intervention from manned pilots, particularly in contingency situations. This poses the following research questions: How can air mobilities decide whether to divert when they confront situations where an original destination cannot be reached? How can they decide which alternate destination is the best to divert? Which trajectory can they take to reach the alternate one? What real-world data can be leveraged for safe flight? My research addresses these questions.
